Goodnight Records 2012 CMJ-ish Land Based Booze Cruise Announced! RSVP now for free entry!
We here at Goodnight Records support the idea of sending bands out to sea. As big fans of Sea Shanties, Mercantilism, and Coleridge’s “Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner”, this has always felt like a natural pairing. Apparently we’re not the only ones; even Coachella is shipping out today’s hottest acts to play on luxury liners for today’s hottest young professionals. Sadly, though we’d love to participate in this trend, we cannot for we all have Thalassophobia, or the fear of bodies of water. This is an unfortunate consequence of having come of age right as Titanic was smashing all box office records with its terrifying portrayal of true love and self-less sacrifice.
We were resigned to sitting this one out, but then we stumbled upon the perfect solution: A Land Based Boozed Cruise! Stiff drinks on solid grounds will give you all the sea legs you need. Accordingly, we are pleased to announce our 2012 CMJ show on October 18th at the Gutter’s wonderful music room in Williamsburg as we and MySocialList.com partner up to host the Thalassophobic’s dream booze cruise: one that never leaves shore. We will have bands, free booze, and more. See details and RSVP for free entry below.
