Goodnight moves to Brooklyn, Other Sound 08' Info, and new releases.
Hi! Goodnight Records is now located in Brooklyn, NY!!! We are not going to abandon the city of Atlanta that we still hold dear, but things will be a little different from now on. Well not so much, but kind of… Mainly we won’t be able to get in to all the shows for free in this city (soon hopefully), and all the shows we want to see end up selling out in a few hours… So weird… So far so good though!
Good news for Atlanta is that we are still helping to put together Year 3 of The Other Sound fest (2007). This is going to be the biggest year yet and we are growing from three consecutive night in a row to FOUR!!! Check it out and be our friend on myspace, http://myspace.com/othersound. Atlanta is getting a lot of press recently and it makes us all happy and warm inside. The main reason for starting the Other Sound fest was to bring a sense of togetherness, pride, and community to the Atlanta music scene. It seems like something good is happening, and even though we are no longer there physically we are strong supporters and are very happy about it. We heart ATL 4EVR.
We have three new releases that will be coming out later this summer. The Rosebuds’ Night of the Furies (12” vinyl LP), The Press’ Milk, and the Times that Never Were (CD EP) and Hi Ho, Six Shooter!’s Empire (CD LP). All three albums are at the plant right now and should be available for pre-order in a few weeks. Check back soon for more info.
