GNR028 | Fan-Tan

A Strange Game

Drawing on the best of shoegaze and post-punk to create a long-developing sound that's both pleasantly sprawling and jagged, Fan-Tan is a band to watch out for! »

GNR029 | Louis

Laura 7"

Charmingly off-kilter Brooklyn singer/songwriter Louis Schefano AKA Louis, draws immediate comparisons with legends such as Leonard Cohen and Tim Buckley. Debut 7" out now! »

GNR051 | Heliotropes, Friend Roulette

PIG 7"

Heliotropes slow down "March of the Pigs" on the A-side, trading the original's teeth-gnashing menace for ghostly stoner-rock, while Friend Roulette sanitize the slither of "Piggy" with playful psych-pop. »

Goodnight signs Fan-Tan - new LP coming soon!!

Happy 2012!!! We haven’t quite cleaned up the the gallons of champagne and schnapps that were spilled all over the Goodnight Records office this weekend, which means the place is now a syrup-covered human fly trap, but that’s our problem not yours. . . . it is time to get back to work on what will be a real cram-cow of a year full of exciting releases and events. If we have to work inside a confetti and man-bikini strewn syrup cage then by god we’ll do it.

So, to start off the new year with a bang, we are proud to announce that Goodnight Records has signed Brooklyn’s Fan-Tan and will be releasing their new LP later this year!

Check out the video premier for 1989! If you are in NYC they play at GLasslands tonight!

Oh My Rockness: “This is epic, man. Epic.”

The Deli Magazine: “The music is full of dramatics and tension, and it has an unyielding ability to remain in listeners’ heads for days.”

Philadelphia Weekly: “… [Fan-Tan] makes the kind of sweeping, soaring, synth-glorious post punk you might remember from Echo & the Bunnymen, or even the Cure.”

Love,
GNR!
